Frequently asked questions
- Why should I join Denplan rather than pay as I go?
For most patients who attend regular check-ups and hygiene visits, Denplan works out cheaper than pay-as-you-go and includes emergency cover at a lower rate (£45). The break-even point is roughly two examinations and two hygiene visits a year — most adult patients reach that. - Will my Denplan fee change?
We review fees periodically to ensure they still reflect your oral health needs and the cost of providing your care. We do our best to avoid increasing prices, but if a change becomes necessary, we’ll explain why and give you advance notice. No adjustment will ever be made without discussing it with you first. - Is the £65 new patient examination really everything I will pay on the first visit?
For most patients, yes. The £65 covers the examination, intra-oral scan, small x-rays where clinically needed, and a written treatment plan. If you choose to have hygiene treatment on the same visit, that is charged separately at £75. Anything else — a filling, a clean, a whitening discussion — is quoted before it starts. - Can I get a private quote without committing to anything?
Yes. Every consultation ends with a written treatment plan and a clear quote. You take it home, think about it, and decide. There is no pressure to book on the day, and quotes are valid for three months.
Finance and payment
0% finance over 12 months on treatment plans of £500 and above.
Extended plans available up to 60 months, subject to status. Decision in minutes; we can process the application at the practice.
Worked example. A treatment plan of £3,000 over 12 months at 0% APR equals £250 per month, no deposit. The same plan over 60 months at a representative 9.9% APR equals approximately £63 per month — illustrative only, full quotes given before any application is made.
We accept card, contactless, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and bank transfer. We do not currently accept cheques.
